Brad Droege has been a firefighter for the City of Hamburg for thirty-one years, has been an officer in the department for twenty-five years and has been the city's Fire Chief for the past 15 years. For the past twenty-nine years, he has been a state and nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and works part time for the ambulance service operated by Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Chief Droege is a member of the Minnesota Emergency Manager's Association, serves as Vice President of the Carver County Fire Chief's Association, and is the Emergency Management Director for the City of Hamburg. In 1997, and again this spring, he brought a contingent of fellow firefighters to the flooded areas of Fargo-Moorhead to assist other agencies.
Chief Droege lives in Hamburg with his wife and their two children; son Brian and daughter Brenda, who is also a member of the Hamburg Fire Department.

A couple of months ago, I searched 'Craig's List' for a used 'reel to reel' tape recorder. I received a response from 'Bob' living on Bourne Avenue in St. Paul. He stated that he wanted $40 for the unit that he had. I asked 'Bob' if I could return it and get my money back if it didn't work. He stated 'Yes'. So I drove for a total of three hours and picked the unit up. When I got it home, it didn't work.
I called 'Bob' and told him the unit didn't work. He told me to just discard it and he'd return my $40.00 Two days later I received the same two twenty dollar bills in the mail that I had given him two days earlier.

I certainly want to thank Trooper Keith Simmonet of the Minnesota State Patrol for stopping by the radio station during my show on Law Enforcement Friday, August 15, 2003. He gave us several items that I will be giving away during my radio shows so please stay tuned. Also along with Trooper Simmonet were two deputies from the Scott County Sheriff's Department; deputies Dennis Tietz and Nick Adler. I've met lots of law enforcement officers during my active law enforcement career; the three that 'stopped in' to my radio show yesterday were three of the finest!! And, of course, let's not forget Larry Novotny who also was along.
Last Friday, August 22, 2003, Scott County Deputies Dennis Tietz and Duane Jirik stopped by the 'Delta Dick' Radio Show and dropped off Scott County Sheriff's Department coffee mugs to be given away during my radio shows. As everyone knows, I met Deputy Tietz the week before, and know Deputy Jirik through the 'SMART SHOPPER' Program heard every Saturday. Again, both deputies are model examples of what law enforcement officers are all about.
We all MUST work hard to remove those legislators that passed the largest spending bill in American history WITHOUT EVEN READING IT!!
Second, we MUSTNOT allow illegal aliens to remain in, or enter, our country ANY LONGER. Those that are here illegally, or can not provide proof of their legal American citizenship, MUST be deported IMMEDIAELY !!
Third, any 'benefits' (welfare, health care, food stamps, etc.) must be withheld from ALL illegal aliens IMMEDIATELY !! If illegal aliens want the many benefits that America has to offer, MAKE THEM BECOME LEGAL CITIZENS before providing them with ANY more benefits whatsoever !!NO PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP; NO BENEFITS!! Period.
Fourth, our country has enough 'government run programs' that aren't 'working' now and never have 'worked'. The Obama administration wants to set up a 'government run' nationwide health care system that will provide health care coverage to EVERYONE living in the United States. We don't NOT need another 'government run program' that will cost billions of dollars to administer, provide Americans with LESS CARE for MORE MONEY and will provide health care coverage to ANYONE, illegal aliens included, that will be paid for by the (legitimate) hard working American taxpayer !!
Fifth, tell all current and future politicians that we're mad as hell and we want to REGAIN CONTROL OF OUR COUNTRY !! Ensure that persons elected in the future on all local, state and national levels in upcoming elections represent the wants and ideals of Americans; NOT those of 'special interest' groups and radicals.
Let's all work on getting the following individuals to turn our country around and ERASE the mess that Barak Obama and his fellow Democrats have created !!

Hey Dick! I listened to your 4th of July show it was awesome. Thanks for The Tribute to America. It always has left me feeling so very proud to be an American.
Lately, I have become, more and more terrified that I am witnessing the destruction of America, this was something I never ever thought I would see in my life time. I now feel we are under a dictatorship because no one is standing up to our President as he single handedly destroys America. Our government has grown too big, too fast!

Last week we listened to your show by the bon fire. I got a few odd looks but I told them that its good background music to fill in when conversation hit a lull. To many of those at the campfire a surprise of enjoyment came over them as we listened to The Olsen band. I plan to have the music on again tonight when your show starts at 11 PM.

That on June 23, 2009 at its annual conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the National Sheriff's Association elected Hennepin County (Minnesota) Sheriff Rich Stanek to serve on its Board of Directors. Sheriff Stanek is the only Minnesota Sheriff currently serving on the Board which includes twenty-one sheriffs from across the United States. The Minnesota Sheriff's Association supported his effort to be selected to serve on the Board.

That Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek was elected Vice President of the Major County Sheriffs' Association. Following that two-year term, he'll serve as group president.
Sheriff Stanek says that the leadership role gives him a chance to learn and share best practices with other law enforcement agencies, and that it will help him bring Hennepin County's public safety concerns into a national discussion.
The Major County Sheriffs' Association represents counties with a population of 500,000 or more. The group advances legislative issues important to the public safety of large metropolitan communities.
